The Lord God Made Them All

Senior Pastor Lawrence and I have been enjoying and getting some well-deserved rest during our annual ski vacation together with Franck, Priscilla and our grandchildren, Isaac and Hannah, in Whistler, Canada. The first night we arrived at our hotel situated at the base of Whistler Blackcomb mountains, the psalmist’s depiction of our majestic God in Psalm 19:1-3 came to my mind:

“The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.”

In high spirits, we hit the pristine white slopes of Mount Whistler with our rental skis and snowboards early the next morning! We had a blast on the slopes rediscovering our skiing and snowboarding skills, and admiring the marvelous creation of God, who blessed us with these wonderful mountains and snow. After two beautiful sunny days of intense activity, today we were rained upon, and so we kicked back and relaxed in our hotel, which thankfully gave me time to pen down my thoughts for you.

Even as I share our beautiful experience on the Whistler Blackcomb ski slopes with you, please join me to acknowledge and worship our great God who created it all with Psalm 74:16-17, “Yours is the day, Yours also is the night; You have prepared the light and the sun. You have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have made summer and winter.”

Lord, we thank you for blessing us with your wonderful creation!
