Social Worker (Mental Health)

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, grow the mental health portfolio and support outreach programme in schools for mental health
  • Provide counselling to youths and parents on youth related issues and mental health related issues, both face to face and over telephone
  • Provide direct case management for at-risk youths and their family members including assessment, intervention and counselling
  • Plan and carry out group work
  • Conduct home visits and outreach
  • Engage youths over social media and gaming platforms
  • Co-ordinate and network with external organisations to provide holistic care

  • Degree/Graduate Diploma in Social Work, registered with SASW
  • Experience with children and adolescents mental health work
  • At least 2 years experience in case management and group work
  • An aptitude to work with youths, especially at-risk youths
  • Skilled in providing counselling via phone to Youth, Parents and teachers.
  • Ability to converse both in English, Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin speaking parents
