Celebrating 28 Years of Faith

Friday, August 15, 2014

On August 9 & 10, 2014, FCBC officially turned 28 years old. As our 28th Anniversary was coincidentally held on the same weekend as Singapore 49th National Day, without surprise, red was the colour of choice. In true FCBC fashion, a door gift in celebration of our Anniversary was given to all as a reminder that we need to arise and shine in our everyday lives and persevere on our journey of faith. And in the spirit of honouring our pioneer generation, as a Church, we looked back at our past, thanked God for the present, and offered up our future for His divine purpose through a special montage of photos.

Looking back, it is how truly amazing how the Lord has worked in and through FCBC to make a difference in Singapore and Asia. We have indeed performed, and continually strive to accomplish, as we have committed in our vision: To serve the Nations by effecting Community Transformation in Singapore and Gateway Cities in Asia.

Claiming the words Senior Pastor Lawrence Khong declared to the churches of Singapore at Day of His Power on August 8, 2014: “By the tender mercies of your Heavenly Father, you have come a long way Church. You were small and struggling at one time but today you are strong and successful. We were despised, but today, you have enjoyed respect – a measure of favour and influence in many arenas national and international… Not by might, not by power, but by Your Spirit.”

As one, we thank God for FCBC’s past 28 years of faith. By His strength and favour, we have come this far, and we look forward to many more years of faithful servitude to our Lord and King for the advancement of His Mighty Kingdom.
