The 2012 summit saw a record attendance of 538 attendees from 81 churches and 17 organisations. Many of whom were also first-timers. Pastors Eugene Seow and Daniel Khong who were emcees of the session, encouraged the crowd to mingle, especially with the mix of new and experienced summit-attendees.
'Ice-breaker' games were incorporated with the different coloured lanyards each attendee received at the beginning of the summit. As the crowd moved around, some caught up with old friends while others got to know new ones.
Amidst the conversations, dinner also began.
Breaking tradition, new games were introduced to the crowd to lighten up the atmosphere. However, 'classics' like the dynamic duo Pastor Lawrence and Pastor Guna, were still present. They proved why they are still highly popular, serving up platters of jokes that had everyone laughing.
Pastors Lawrence and Guna went on to introduce Apostle Lawrence Khong, Chairman of the LoveSingapore movement to share his opening words of the summit.
Pastor Khong focused on the unity of the LoveSingapore churches as well the call to action, to lay hold of God for transformation in Singapore. He encouraged all to have a sense of urgency to see greater revival in Singapore.
The theme of this year's summit is 'journeying together'. Pastor Khong also highlighted that to journey together, an important part is to wait on the Lord together as a community. He stressed that everyone had to listen to God's heart and hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.
Pastor Khong also made special mention for the next generation of leaders for God. This year, four new young pastors were introduced to the LoveSingapore committee. Two of whom are Pastors Darren Kuek from Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church and Peter Tan from Chuch of Our Saviour, as well as Pastor Daniel Khong from Faith Community Baptist Church and Pastor Jeremy Seaward from Victory Family Centre.

“I feel honoured to be part of the committee. It is very interesting for me to see how the different Pastors work together and the wealth of knowledge they have.” says Pastor Darren Kuek.
Pastor Peter Tan adds: “It is a privilege to be part of the committee. Especially enjoying the fellowship of other Pastors and getting to know each and every one of them better. To me this is a great learning process.”
