Close to 6,000 pastors, leaders and members of various churches gathered at Momentum 2013 for one resolve: To defend marriage and family in Singapore to be between a male as father, a female as mother, with their children.
The speakers of Momentum 2013, which included an alliance of local pastors, bible scholars, thought leaders, writers, ministry specialists and life-changing story-tellers brought forth inspirational and enlightening truths to the attendees of the conference. In particular, Dr Jim Garlow of Skyline Wesleyan Church, whose sharing was later reiterated by Senior Pastor Lawrence Khong. He said, “The Bible begins with a marriage in the Garden of Eden and ends with the marriage of the Lamb – between Christ and the Church at the end of the world. This Marriage is the ultimate marriage, and can only be illustrated through the mystical union between a man and a woman in a lifelong monogamous relationship.”
Through fervent prayer, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully, opening the eyes of the attendees of Momentum 2013 to the matters of today’s society.
One of the defining moments at Momentum 2013 was when everyone present signed a pledge, joining their hearts to defend and protect marriage and the family in Singapore. Indeed, the Church of Jesus Christ in Singapore is rising AS ONE!
