Senior Executive / Executive, Corporate Communications

Working with FCBC’s Corporate Communications team, the Senior Executive is the point person to effectively communicate the organisation’s key messages, activities and initiatives through impactful copywriting and layout of slides. The candidate must be meticulous in carrying out administrative tasks as well as comfortably write copy for a variety of platforms, and recommend communications strategies and ideas to promote key initiatives to our church audience and external stakeholders, both locally and at international conferences and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Content
    • Produce weekly meeting and service deliverables including prayer meeting Powerpoint slides, pre-service slides, and sermon slides
    • Produce, write and edit content for the website and other platforms to introduce new initiatives, cover events, and share compelling stories to showcase our vibrant church activities, personal stories of transformation, and impact of the church
    • Facilitate interviews, support in logistics for filming of videos
  • Publicity
    • Manage publicity requests, schedule announcements, draft announcement scripts and prepare accompanying slides and visuals to excite and inform the audience on upcoming initiatives
    • Coordinate production of collateral including visuals for publicity, banners, flyers, and more
    • Monitor news reports and provide regular summaries to senior leadership on topics of interest when required
  • General Communications
    • Manage feedback mailbox and work with departments to craft appropriate responses
    • Assist the Manager on all internal and external communication matters including vetting and drafting of talking points and announcements
    • Brainstorm and implement new ways to engage church members and visitors
  • Social Media
    • Create engaging content to cover happenings of the church, share announcements and impactful stories
    • Monitor sentiments on media and social media, and analyse trends and platform performance to understand stakeholder interests and effectiveness of the message
  • Any other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Excellent English writing skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories and adapt copy to a variety of writing styles and genres
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an in-house communications role.
  • A diploma or degree in communications, media studies, English, marketing, digital marketing, or sociology preferred – however, those with relevant experience will also be considered for the role.
  • Fresh graduates with strong internship experience are welcome to apply.
  • Skilled in the use of common software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Possess other skills such as phone photography, or basic visual creation with applications such as Canva, or video editing with Capcut (advantageous but not necessary)
  • Motivated with a positive outlook, and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life
