Pastor Lawrence and I returned to Singapore on Tuesday after a very successful Celebration of Life press conference in China. We introduced our magicians to our Xiamen audience through a series of four well-cut videos documenting Gateway’s many past shows and all the different countries we have performed in.
That evening upon arrival home from Xiamen, I felt a very strong compulsion to see Hannah. I found it strange when Priscilla told me she was already asleep at 8pm, without even eating dinner. So, all the more I wanted to see her. Pastor Lawrence and I drove over to visit Hannah. She was asleep but I noticed that her breathing was very fast. Pastor Lawrence and I prayed over her and she woke up. When I got closer, I could hear her wheezing too and it didn’t sound good. I decided to drive home to pick up my stethoscope to listen to Hannah’s lungs better.
Back home, I met Daniel and shared with him the severity of Hannah’s condition. I also asked him to request prayer covering from his 12. I then went back to Priscilla’s home immediately and monitored Hannah’s condition till past midnight, until I was sure we did not need to rush her to the hospital for further treatment or hospitalisation. It was a dark night for me. I was worried that I had made the wrong call to not take Hannah to the hospital, and deeply feared a traumatic outcome as a result of my decision.
With God’s protection, Hannah slept through the night and was treated by her usual pediatrician the next morning, who gave her a nebuliser treatment. By the time Pastor Lawrence and I joined them at the clinic, Hannah was better but still breathless. Priscilla was given a rented nebuliser to take home and continue with treatments every four hours. We are so thankful that after one day of at-home treatments, Hannah’s lungs became all clear with no more wheezing, and even her appetite was restored.
Thank you, our dear family, for covering Hannah with your faithful and fervent prayers since the night of the incident. She’s now out of the woods and recovering from this bad bout of cold that affected her lungs. Ultimately, we thank God, who healed Hannah and protected her every step of the way. Praise be to God our healer!
