We Are One Family

If you weren’t at our services last weekend, I must say, you really missed out! We celebrated Children’s Day as a church and it was such a fantastic time with all the children from GKidz joining us at our main services. We saw families worshipping together, and some were even serving as ushers, greeters, hosts, and also part of the worship team alongside their parents.

In addition to that, we had one of our GKidz pastors, Pastor Pui Leng, bring the word of God to us. It was such a joy for me to see her passion for God and for serving the children. The entire weekend truly was an amazing experience!

After our services, I received several texts from people thanking us for the great weekend. What made it great wasn’t just the atmosphere and experience during the services. It was great because we were gathered together as one family. When the people of God gather in His name, the presence of God is manifested in power.

That’s the power of being gathered as one. Another way of putting it is being united. Unity is truly something amazing. The Bible tells us that it is good when God’s people live together in unity (Psalm 133:1).

Unity pleases God; it honours and welcomes Him. As much as we are a family, unity is something that we must always be working on because it isn’t always a given that all families are united. Sure, we may step on one another’s toes from time to time, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be united. After all, with close proximity comes friction.

So, let’s commit ourselves to unity. Let’s always come together as one family. And let’s make FCBC our family and our home.
