Beyond What We Could Ask Or Think

Last week, the Gateway Entertainment team presented “Celebration of Life” in Shenzhen, China over four days. Our five shows there were performed to a total of 5,023 people. This was nothing short of a miracle. Just ten days before our first show, ticket sales barely reached 50% of the house. But praise God, eventually we sold more than 90% of the tickets. I know the pastors and ministry leaders in Shenzhen worked really hard. May God bless the labour of their hands and hearts.

Beyond just the numbers, the greatest breakthrough was sensing the presence of God move strongly among the people. This is amazing as “Celebration of Life” is not a religious show. We share about faith, hope and love, as well as the need to heed the calls of our body, soul and spirit. Yet, a number of pre-believers were touched and cried during the show.

The testimony of Priscilla and Isaac was especially moving that even the theatre owner himself, who’s a pre-believer as well, cried and was moved deeply. He then brought another theatre professional to watch the show, and she said that it was the most heartfelt show she has ever seen. In fact, during the matinee performance on Saturday, the presence of God was so strong that I spontaneously said, “Hallelujah, praise the Lord!”

Indeed, God “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”. (Ephesians 3:20)
