It's A Small World After All

This past Wednesday, I attended the 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of FCBC. As we reviewed what God had led us into and through in 2016, praise and thanksgiving welled up in my heart for our awesome God’s leadership and guidance over FCBC through Senior Pastor Lawrence. What an eventful year 2016 had been – from our study of the seven times Jesus shed blood and prophetic act of spiritual cleansing and empowerment to seeing fruition in the areas God led us to sow far and sow good!

In FCBC, we not only dream dreams, but realise them by following our Lord’s example. One memorable instance was seeing numerous FCBC disciples contributing to LoveSingapore’s inaugural Drops of Life blood donation drive over the Good Friday-Easter weekend. 532 units of blood was collected over three days. We are so proud of you, extreme disciples, for sharing your very own life-giving blood with those in need in our nation, and we look forward to your active participation in the upcoming one!

Unfortunately, because of Senior Pastor Lawrence’s recent knee replacement surgery, he was unable to attend this AGM. This was the first-ever AGM that he was unable to attend, and so he pre-recorded a special message for those who were present. As I was listening, my attention was drawn to the small globe sitting at a corner of his desk. It made me realise that FCBC has been fulfilling God’s mandate of sharing His love with all parts of the world – from Japan and Timor Leste, to even China and Europe. Truly, it’s a small world after all, and we have sown far and good.
